Put your endurance to the test with this one-of-a-kind hiking challenge in 2024! Here you can find all of the rules and resources that will be helpful to successfully complete this challenge.

Choose 10 hikes from the list of Connecticut's most challenging hikes and complete them within the 2024 calendar year.
Alternatively, you may instead choose to complete 8 hikes from the primary list in addition to a Bonus hike!
Complete each hike in one trip!
Camping at legal, designated campsites along the routes is permitted, but you must hike to and from the campsite.
Record your hike
Submit links to your GPS tracks or email .gpx files to extreme.ct.hiking@gmail.com. Make sure that it is saved in a format that can be shared easily (e.g. public on Strava).

The leaderboard is opt-in when signing up.
Donate to or volunteer with local CT trail organizations!
Volunteer 1 day of trail maintenance with a local trail organization

Donate $50 to a local CT trail organization of your choice and send proof of payment via email to extreme.ct.hiking@gmail.com.
The CT Forest and Park Association manages the majority of the trails used for this challenge! Please consider donating or volunteering with them
Upon receipt of payment or volunteering a commemorative patch will be arranged to be sent to you.

All participants will receive a t-shirt at the end of the year for signing up!
A suggested donation is welcomed but not required to help cover the cost. Donations can be sent via Venmo to @John-Golemba or mailed via cash or check. Please email extreme.ct.hiking@gmail.com for the mailing address.
